About the program:
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a five year degree course aiming at producing graduates in the branch of Ayurveda having basic knowledge of Ayurveda with scientific specifications in accordance with Ayurvedic fundamentals. The students go through extensive practical training to become efficient consultants, teachers and Research workers, in different fields and branches of Ayurveda to serve productively in the medical and health services of the country.
Duration: 5 years
Eligibility: A candidate must fulfill the following conditions for admission. He/ she should have passed in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at 10+2 or any equivalent examination recognized by concerned state Govt./ Education Board, securing a minimum of 50% marks.
No. of Seats: The number of seats shall be 60 or as approved by National Council for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
Age Limit: Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as of 31st December of the year of admission.
Note: For Foreign nationals, any other equivalent qualification to be approved by the concerned authority may be allowed.

Other highlights of the program:
The students get a hand on experience of dealing with patients and well equipped labs. They get a practical knowledge of the various processes involved in the field of Ayurveda. The institute has its very own herbal garden.
